Lily Allen - Southampton Guildhall

I have not shot live gigs for ages, so it was nice to photograph Lily Allen at Southampton Guildhall. I have recently teamed up with online music site ilikemusic.com to take photos for their live review section. So look out for more live pics soon.

I have included a few of Lily Allen and the support act La Roux, who was wicked. An artist to look out for sure in the next year or so.

The Worst Interviewer In The World.......Ever!

As you can see from former blogs and on my website that i am lucky to do a lot of work with Pioneer. I was asked to photograph their new campaign for the HDJ - 2000 headphones (which I must say are an amazing bit of kit).

The shoot would feature DJ Steve Lawler wearing the headphones.  I was very happy with the results and it was good to finally work with Steve.

After the shoot the website guys from DJ Sounds wanted to interview Steve about what he has got coming up this year etc. They manage to persuade me to interview him. Check out the vid and make up you own minds, I don't think Jonathan Ross has any thing to worry about.

Mark Knight Shoot

Mark Knight is increasingly becoming one of the biggest DJs/Producers in world. After last years club smash "Man With The Red Face" he is currently riding high in the charts with his remix of the new Faithless track "Music Matters" (Faithless have actually just signed to Mark's own label Toolroom)

I have photographed Mark for the last 2 years, so it was nice to get the call again. We decided on 3 locations for the shoot. One was a dirty skanky doorway in Shordich, the other was at the Ministry Of Sound. My favorite though was at the last location, a club in Vauxhall called the Lightbox

As you can see by the pics the club is visually amazing, with the whole dance floor covered in LED lights. It was a challenge to get the shot right as i really wanted the lights to play a major part of the shoot. We tried loads of different colors and set ups, but as you can see by my fave pic I think we got there in the end.

With some help from my assistant James we managed to film the day in HD video, using Canons new 5D Mark II camera. It's an amazing bit of kit, look out on my website soon for the behind the scenes video of the shoot.

I Aint Afraid Of No Ghost!!

Yes I know i have been really really slack updating this blog, especially as i have only just set it up. Have been mentally busy with my wife being pregnant (3 weeks to go!!) and work being mental.

Any way thought id show you this pic that was taken whilst I was shooting the cover for Nic Fanciulli's new mix album on Global Underground. We shot at Stu Stu Studio in Central London. The pic was taken by Creative Director Simon Moore. It freaked alot of us out at the time, you can see a face in the bottom left hand corner. Make of it what you will, but you never know what happened in some old buildings in London. Somebody could have been murdered in in that very spot or it might be just the flash from the camera (lol).

Here is the cover for Nic's new CD. Release date for this is 27th April and more information on the CD click here
