Pioneer Ibiza Calendar - 2013

This is my sixth Ibiza calendar that Pioneer have commissioned me to shoot, and if you follow me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, you can see that for the majority of the summer season I have been on planes to and from the island. This year the calendar is printed on A3 size, and has 12 high gloss pages which feature famous DJs, clubbers, dancers and shows the impact Pioneer has on the island. It's distributed worldwide, and given to people that buy the Pioneer equipment and are in the music industry. It will also will be distributed for free around Ibiza.

I was a little worried about shooting the calendar this year, as last years calendar went down so well with everybody and I didn't know if I could top it. However, the reaction to this edition has been amazing, I'm really happy how it all came together.

I had loads of fun shooting the season, which again was outstanding. Best sets that I heard were  Carl Cox at Space, Luciano at Ushuaia and Steve Lawler at Sankeys, proper house music!  Every year just seems to get better and better. 

I think my favourite shot of the year was the image of the IMS event (1st pic below) It was shot from the the top of the Dalt Vila, by the church, whilst Carl Cox was playing. It was a bit of a trek to get up there but so worth it, you could see for miles and it looked epic.

My second favourite shot of the season was the big crowd photo that I shot at Ushuaia (2nd pic below). It was Afrojack's birthday and Steve Aoki got all the DJs, entourages and Ushuaia workers to get on the stage and turn to me for a massive group photo, was great fun.

All the DJs (and management) who were great letting me photograph them and everybody else in Ibiza and the UK that have helped put this together.
