Pretty Green Spring Summer Lookbook 2012

I have been working with Pretty Green now for 3 years now and it was great to get the commission to shoot their Spring/Summer 2012 lookbook. We did the whole thing on Hamstead Heath on a freakish warm sunny day in late September 2011. In the morning we shot Liam for the Black Label part of the range then the other guys in the afternoon for the Green Label.

The Pretty Green Spring/Summer collection is a reinvention of iconic styles of the 1960's and 70s. Steeped in rock and roll history, the collection takes inspiration from the like of Marc Bolan, Brian Jones and John Lennon. 

I have also attached below the video that went with the range that was shot at the same time. Was a great day.

The Horrors - Bournemouth BIC

Never been a Horrors fan until I heard their recent album Skying, which won album of the year at the NME Awards a few weeks ago.  It's been on constant repeat, with the track Still Life standing out for me, amazing tune. So when I turned up to shoot the Florence And The Machine gig at the Bournemouth BIC I was thrilled to see that the Horrors were the support act. Really happy how the shots came out and the lighting was really good for a support act.

The Maccabees - Southampton Guildhall

After hearing the Maccabees album earlier on this year I couldn't wait to shoot the gig for Ilikemusic. Its always nice to shoot in your hometown too, the gig was great and managed to get ok shots from the production they had. Think they will go on to bigger things for sure.

Laura Marling - Southampton Guildhall

This was the second time that I had shot Laura Marling, the first time being at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth which is a really small venue so it was good to see her on a bigger stage and with better production. I'm really into her music so was happy to get commissioned by ilikemusic to shoot the show. Laura doesn't not move around the stage that much so it was a challenge to get shots that were different to the other snappers that were there, pretty happy how everything came out.
