DEVolution - Maida Vale

I have always wanted to shoot in the BBC's famous Maida Vale Studios in London, so it was great to get commissioned by Warners to capture new band DEVolution recording a 4 track live session for 1Xtra. Pete Devereux and Tom Devos make up the band and on their first single "Good Love" they are joined on vocal by Amy Pearson. They were amazing, check out the Soundcloud link below to hear the session. Also I have put up the You Tube video too (I make a guest appearance quickly in). I'm happy with the images I got from the session and the band love them, so all good.

Gareth Emery - The Sound Of Garuda

After taking Gareth Emery's press shots way back in December 2010, I knew he held back a few images for his new album. Really happy with the shot they chose. The Sound Of Garuda Vol 2 is out on September 5th. You can get it here.

Smirnoff Sensation - O2 Arena

Had been really looking forward to this gig for some time as I heard that the Sensation events were visually stunning and it did not disappoint. This was also the first time I had actually shot in the O2 Arena.  I was commissioned by Smirnoff (who were the sponsors) to photograph the company's presence at the event and people enjoying themselves. Got some great images of the production and everybody had a great night. Check out all the pics on Sminoff's Facebook group. Below are a few of my favs.

Not many "Celebs" at this event, only one that I knew was Imogen Thomas :-)

Artful - Single Cover

Was really pleased to get the call from one of my friends in Southampton to see if I wanted to shoot the press pics for a new project they are working on. Atful is Mark Hill, who was one half of the group The Artful Dodger, who had major chart success a decade ago. Mark has been mentally busy the last few years producing other peoples work and now has decided to set up his own label Workhouse Records and start making music himself once again.

For the first release "Could Just Be The Bass Line" Mark has brought in Irish singer Kal Lavelle to sing the vocals. Kal has recently been supporting Ed Sheeran on his tour and has a fantastic voice. We did the shoot at Woolhouse Studios in Barnet, which was great as it had many different areas to set up in. Below is the cover and some of the images from the shoot will be on my site in the next few weeks.

Beady Eye - iTunes Festival - The Roundhouse

This was the first time that I had shot at the Roundhouse in Camden . This was one of the events for the Itunes Festival. I was shooting for Pretty Green once again. The place was a top venue and Beady Eye rocked it. The more and more I have seen and shot them this year the better they get. Lighting production was not as good as other shows, so it was a tricky shoot. The great Steve Cradock supported once again and got some good shot of him too.

Well Done Richard Parks!!

If you saw last year that I did the press shots for Richard Park's 737 Challenge. Well after 6 months, 11 days, 7 hours and 53sec he achieve a world first, by pioneering a 7 month race to climb the highest mountain on each of the worlds continents. Not to mention venturing to both the South and Geographical North Poles. I am very proud to be a VERY small part of the project and I look forward to catching up with Richard in the next few months after the hectic schedule he has with the press and media.

Pioneer Advertisements - Carl Cox & Wally Lopez

During this years Space Opening I shot both Carl Cox and Wally Lopez performing outside in the Flight Arena. Pioneer used a couple of the images from the event for advertisements that will be used as billboards in Ibiza and also in press and magazines in the UK and Europe. Really happy how they have turned out as they have used shots that bring out the artists personality.
